Carbon Fiber Tripods for Telephoto Lenses, Wildlife and Sports Photography
The Zenelli CARBON T is a family of professional carbon fiber tripods engineered for photographers using telephoto and super-telephoto lenses in wildlife, bird, nature, and sports photography.
Designed and manufactured in Italy, CARBON T combines high-modulus carbon fiber tubes with precision CNC-machined components made from extruded magnesium alloys. This construction provides an exceptional balance of rigidity, low weight, stability, and long-term durability, making the tripod particularly suitable for demanding outdoor photography and professional field use.
TX and TC Tripod Configurations
The CARBON T system is available in two main configurations.
The CARBON TX, featuring a wide tripod cross, is designed to maximize stability when supporting demanding camera and telephoto lens combinations.
The CARBON TC uses a more compact tripod cross and is optimized for photographers who prioritize portability and reduced transport dimensions without compromising stability and performance.
Both configurations are available with multiple carbon fiber tube diameters, allowing photographers to select the tripod configuration best suited to their equipment, shooting requirements, and preferred balance between stability and portability.
Water-Resistant Telescopic Leg Design
A key feature of CARBON T is its protected telescopic leg design. Each section incorporates dedicated sealing elements designed to help reduce the ingress of dust, moisture, and contaminants during normal outdoor use.
This water-resistant construction makes the tripod suitable for use in rain, snow, and wet environments while helping protect the internal sliding and locking mechanisms and maintain smooth operation over time.
Dedicated pressure relief valves equalize internal pressure during extension and retraction of the telescopic sections, contributing to smooth and consistent operation during repeated use in the field.
For recommendations regarding water exposure, cleaning, maintenance, and use in environments containing sand, mud, or sediment, please refer to the Care & Maintenance information in the Technical Specifications section.
One-Motion Telescopic Locking System
The telescopic sections provide smooth and controlled movement for fast and precise height adjustment during dynamic shooting situations.
CARBON T features Zenelli's one-motion locking system: rotating the lowest section simultaneously locks all telescopic sections, allowing each leg to be deployed and secured quickly without operating multiple individual locks.
When additional locking force is required, each section can also be individually tightened through the high-grip ergonomic interfaces, ensuring a firm and reliable hold when supporting professional camera equipment and large telephoto lenses.
180° Folding Legs and Adjustable Leg Angles
The tripod legs feature a 180-degree folding design, allowing CARBON T to close compactly around the mounted tripod head. This reduces transport volume and makes the system easier to carry when traveling or moving between shooting locations.
The leg angle adjustment mechanism is designed for fast and intuitive operation. A dedicated lever allows photographers to quickly select the required leg angle and securely lock each leg in position, providing flexibility when working on uneven terrain or from low shooting positions.
Removable Feet and 3/8"-16 UNC Accessory Connections
Each tripod foot is removable through a standard 3/8"-16 UNC connection, providing compatibility with spikes and other specialized supports for different terrain conditions.
The tripod structure also incorporates a side 3/8"-16 UNC accessory port, allowing additional photographic equipment or accessories to be mounted directly to the tripod.
A built-in leveling bubble provides a quick visual reference for tripod alignment during setup.
Modular Center Disk and Quick Head Installation
The removable center disk is designed to accept dedicated accessories, increasing the versatility and modularity of the CARBON T system.
A safety pin, operated externally through a dedicated knob, provides secure component retention, while the quick-locking lever allows fast and reliable installation and removal of the tripod head.
This modular architecture allows CARBON T to adapt to different photographic setups while maintaining a compact and mechanically rigid structure.
Stainless Steel Hardware and Long-Term Durability
All hardware components are manufactured from stainless steel to provide excellent corrosion resistance and long-term reliability in demanding outdoor environments.
Every element of CARBON T has been developed to provide consistent mechanical performance in real-world conditions, combining precision engineering, stability, low weight, portability, and ease of operation.
The result is a professional carbon fiber tripod system designed to provide stable and reliable support for telephoto and super-telephoto photography, from wildlife and bird photography to sports and demanding outdoor applications.

Care & Maintenance
Zenelli tripods are designed for reliable outdoor use in rain, snow, and wet environments. The integrated sealing system within the telescopic leg sections is designed to reduce the ingress of dust, moisture, and contaminants during normal outdoor use, providing a high level of protection in the field.
The tripod is water-resistant; however, the telescopic leg sections are not designed for prolonged or complete immersion in water. Particular care should be taken when operating in environments where water, sand, mud, or sediment are present, as contaminants may accumulate inside over time and affect the smooth operation of the sliding and locking mechanisms.
After use in environments containing sand, mud, river sediment, dust, or other abrasive contaminants, any visible residue should be removed from the leg sections before retracting them. This simple procedure helps minimize the introduction of contaminants into the sliding and locking mechanisms.
Following exposure to water, particularly salt water or contaminated water, the tripod should be thoroughly rinsed with fresh water, allowed to dry completely, and inspected to ensure that all moving components operate correctly before storage.
For photographers who regularly operate in particularly demanding environments, periodic cleaning and inspection of the tripod are recommended as part of routine equipment maintenance.
Regular maintenance helps preserve the tripod's operational reliability and maximize its service life.
